Exposed Aggregate concrete can be used in all external areas including patios, alfresco areas, driveways, paths, ramps, stairs and other ‘high slip’ areas. Available in a range of colours and textures, it can also be ‘seeded’ with other material such as glass, river pebbles or shells to individualise the installation and suit any design requirement.
With a high slip resistant surface, exposed aggregate concrete adds texture to the design of your home. While it can be used around pools, due to its coarseness it can be harsh on bare feet. For pool surrounds a better alternative is honed concrete which feels soft under foot, yet still provides a non slip surface.
The colours available in exposed aggregate concrete installations range from the ever popular creams and whites through to stylish grey and black blends. The stone sizes (known as the aggregate) are available in 7mm and 14mm, with the 7mm being more popular as it provides more visible stone per square meter.
Westside Concrete has a range of samples available which we can bring on-site to help you choose the right colour and aggregate size for your project. Alternatively, view the colours available here.
